DR. AUDWIN FLETCHER
Brother Dr. Audwin Fletcher is fall 1993 initiate of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc, via the Alpha Epsilon Lambda chapter seated in Jackson, Mississippi. Brother Fletcher has served in leadership roles on all levels in Alpha Phi Alpha: locally – Associate Editor to Sphinx; Recording Secretary; Director of Educational Activities; Parliamentarian; Advisor, Omicron Gamma; Collegiate Scholars Bowl, chair; Area III director; Health Awareness chair; Beautillion chair; President, Alpha Epsilon Lambda; regionally – Health Awareness chair; Collegiate Scholars Bowl, co-chair; and nationally – Commission of Racial Justice Committee member.
Fletcher has received numerous awards for his service to Alpha: Spirit Award, 1997; Craig D Bluntson Man of the Year, 1998; W. H. Williams award, 1998; Southern Region Convention Outstanding Achievement in Practice of Medicine, 2002; District of Mississippi Charles H Green award, 2004; Southern Region Charles H Green award, 2004; Alpha Epsilon Lambda service award, 2005; Alpha Epsilon Lambda Leadership award, 2007; Craig D Bluntson Man of the Year, 2008; and Alpha Epsilon Lambda Distinguished Service award, 2010.
Brother Dr. Fletcher is currently a professor of nursing, the director of the FNP/AGACNP tracks, graduate clinical coordinator and director of multicultural affairs at the University Of Mississippi Medical Center School Of Nursing. He is a member so several professional and civic organizations. His mantra is “excellence is the expectation; perfection is the goal”.
